Thanks for your interest to be involved with our work. There are many ways to support this community and the work that we do. We’d love your help.
We operate purely on donations from families, individuals, churches, matching company donations and you!
If you’re interested in volunteering with Dry Bones, we’d love to meet with you one-on-one for a personalized Dry Bones 101 training.
During this conversation, you’ll learn about the realities faced by those experiencing houselessness in our community, get to know the Dry Bones mission and vision, and explore the various ways to get involved.
For those wanting to interact regularly with our friends experiencing houselessness—what we call Contact Volunteers—completing a Dry Bones 101 session is required. We’ll work with your schedule to set up a time that works best for you.
Dry Bones’ liability insurance requires all volunteers to complete training, an application, a background check, and provide references. We’ll go over all the details during your session.
Beyond direct outreach, we also have many other volunteer opportunities, including office work, cleaning and organizing, special events, donation drives, and more—many of which do not require Dry Bones 101.
We are always interested in getting churches, scout troops, schools, and other groups involved in supporting the needs of our friends.
If your group is interested in organizing a drive for Dry Bones, please contact Mary Kathryn to ask for our list of current needs as this list changes.
You can also visit our Amazon Wishlist to make a one-time purchase or to organize a purchase drive with your group. When purchasing from our Amazon wishlist, please include a gift receipt with your name and address so we can properly thank you for your generosity.
If you have new or gently used items such as sleeping bags, backpacks, coats, tarps, and blankets, we can put them to good use. (Please note that we have limited storage space and may not be able to receive all items.)
To see if your items are currently needed and to arrange a drop-off of your donation, please contact Mary Kathryn Asencio here.
We also keep our Amazon Wishlist updated here.
We would be happy to come speak to your church, rotary club, school, small group, foundation, etc.
Please contact Tami and tell us about your group.

Elevations is a six day experience that combines the heights of adventure and contemplation in the wilderness with dynamic depths in the city. We design these trips to be inspiring, educational, fun, and uniquely spiritual – both in the city and the mountains.
