Interested in Volunteering with Dry Bones?
The first step is Dry Bones 101—our required volunteer training designed for anyone interested in relationship-focused volunteering. During this orientation, you’ll learn about the history, vision, and mission of Dry Bones, as well as the values that shape our work. We’ll also cover important guidelines for volunteering in our space, introduce our weekly schedule, and highlight ongoing opportunities to get involved.
This training is a great way to discern if Dry Bones is a good fit for you. Spend a day with us, let your heart be nudged toward youth and young adults navigating houselessness, be challenged to see the world through a new lens, and begin building connections with some incredible people.
Dry Bones 101 is required for all volunteers interested in regular, in-person, relational engagement. In addition, our liability policy requires an application, background check, and references—all of which will be discussed during the training.
To get started, email Mary Kathryn, our Community Engagement Coordinator, to schedule a one-on-one orientation and begin the process of becoming an official Dry Bones volunteer.
